Commodore's Goals
2008 - 2009
Mantra: To listen, to learn, to lead, to work, to communicate, to motivate, to have fun
Commodore's Goals for the Membership
- That the members experience a sense of pride in being a part of AHYC and as a result become involved in activities, committee work and ultimately move into leadership positions
- That whether a member is focused on the boating side of the club or the social side (or both) he/she knows that all memberships are equal and one would not exist without the support of the other
- That the members may know that: This is my Club, and My voice counts!
Commodore's Goals for the Board of Directors
- That the talent present in each and every Board Member may be realized and propelled into action over the course of the year for the betterment of AHYC and its members
- That each and every member of the Board of Directors have a meaningful role on this Board and experience the satisfaction of a job well done
- That each and every member of the Board of Directors feels valued
Personal Goals
- To respect the history and the leadership of the past along with encouraging the introduction of new ideas and approaches for the future
- To provide an environment where open and straightforward communication is the order of the day and where trust prevails
- To provide leadership and to build the number of members who will aspire to leadership
- To come to know a greater number of AHYC members and bring them to a greater level of participation
- To be totally accessible to The Flag Officers, the Board and the membership
There is a plan of action that goes with each of these goals and it will unfold throughout the year.
